Bertha Garza Rivera Barton, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. She was born on February 1, 1917 in Austin, Texas to Antonio and Katherine Garza. Bertha retired from the Internal Revenue in 1978 and moved to Burnet, Texas in 1994. For the past few years she had been a resident of the Oaks Nursing Home in Burnet where she had the best of care possible from all the nurses and staff. Bertha is survived by three sons, Bert Rivera and wife, Shirley of Burnet, Texas, Roland Rivera and wife, Patricia of Austin, Texas, Bob Barton and wife, Marsha of Burnet, Texas; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Mecey of Elgin, Texas. Serving as Pallbearers will be Greg Miller, Sean Miller, Hayden Miller, Frank Garza, Allen Garza, Larry Nohra. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress, Austin, Texas. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
