Bertha Ragland

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Myrtle Clawson; her husband, Gilbert Ragland; ten brothers and sisters; two children, Danny Webb and Lori Ragland Russell; one grandson, Denis Linder; one great grandson and one great-great grandson.

Bertha is survived by one brother, Les Clawson of Weir, Texas; two daughters, Audrey Meyer of Spicewood, TX and Judy Orme of Mission, TX; eight grandchildren, Darla, Darin, Dion, Teresa, Wendi, Paul, Trudy, and Chris; and many great and great-great grand children. She will be missed by many.

Her last ten years were spent with the Trinity Home in Round Rock, TX. She loved everyone there and received much love in return. Until her sight faded with macular degeneration, she was quite the artist. Her three foot Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls put smiles on many faces, young and old, as did all her many creations. There was no one that could top her as a cook. Her pineapple and banana cakes were beyond special. Bertha was a hard worker all her life. She worked as a seamstress, waitress, school cafeteria helper, cashier, and cosmetologist. She has now gone to her well deserved rest. She will be missed greatly, but we will be together again-someday. Until then, "Set us a place at your table."

Visitation / viewing, Thursday, September 29, 2011, 5pm - 7pm. Funeral will be 2pm, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin, Texas. Burial will be at the Fiskville Cemetery.
