Betty Lee Ballew On Saturday, May 21, 2005, Betty Lee Ballew was called home. She slipped into a peaceful sleep at home after an extended illness. Betty was born November 10, 1933 in Dillon, South Carolina to Advil and Mary Baxley. She served 19 years in the armed forces. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Lorrey; three children, Mary O’hanlon Ashworth, Michael Ballew and wife Jeanette, Dianna Ballew and husband, Shaw; and eight grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The family wishes to offer a very special Thank You to Dr. Steven Bethard for his care and compassion during Betty’s illness. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 24 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 25 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel.
