Betty's memorial service yesterday was lovely.  Kenneth's eloquent tribute gave us an insight into Betty's skill at mothering, teaching and being a good role model.  Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren.

My sister Betty 

Was an encourager for others and gave generously of her talents to many churches and students. 

Her diligence in nurturing her family in their respective and noble careers revealed her great partnership role supporting the vast demanding and lengthy studies above and beyond the basic years of education. 
Never lukewarm, she left a legacy of diligence, laughter and creativity. 

To this day, and when we meet again, her influence will still be with me as I reflect upon our memories as performers together.

Betty was an enthusiastic participant in our local Mended Hearts chapter, and she enjoyed greeting everyone each month (back when we could meet in person, that is-)  We will miss her sweet smile.

We are so sorry for your loss. We remember plenty of fun times with Betty and Gordon on our C-22s at the yacht club and at the fleet cruises. 

Dr. Hamilton spoke of his beloved wife when I was his patient for about 20 years. Anyone with that amount of radiance had to be extra special. 

Take heart, Gordon, you have an enormous, loving community surrounding you and supporting you through this tender time.

I am a photography friend of Gordon’s, and may have volunteered with her at Assistance League of Austin. Saw Betty’s lovely photo and obituary in today’s Statesman. She and Gordon shared a wonderful life together, and she is now at peace. So happy for her❤️.  My condolences to the family for their great loss. May God be with you during this time of mourning.

We are very sad that Betty's life has come to an end.  Betty and Gordon have been wonderful neighbors for the last 19 years, and were the first to welcome us.   We always enjoyed hearing Betty play the piano, and will miss her.

Betty had a love for family.  Our family is blessed by the genealogy work that she and my mother worked on together to keep those memories alive.    She was beautiful, kind, and generous with her time.  She will be missed.
