Beverly Clopton Glass

Beverly Ann Clopton Glass was born on May 5, 1951, to parents Ernie and Winnie Clopton of Cameron, TX. At the age of nine, her family moved to Manor, where she finished school.

Beverly met and eventually married Warren Glass of Austin, TX, on March 21, 1970. They were married for fifty-two years and went on to have seven children and fourteen grandchildren.

Bev, as she was known to many, loved kids. She worked with children all her life, whether in daycare or driving a school bus. She kept in touch with several of her kids as they grew and had kids of their own. Beverly was always adding more people to her family. She would simply decide they were her kids or grandkids. Friends would often become siblings.

Beverly loved hosting! She was always looking for a reason to invite people over for food and good company. She enjoyed having a full house; anyone was welcome!

She had a beautiful voice and loved to use it on every occasion! She loved singing around the house, in the car, on long trips, and most especially at church with the worship team. She had a song for everything!

And Bev loved to travel. From her ancestral Manor House in England to Corpus Christi, she was always eager to go someplace else. She especially loved the beach. Even when her health prevented her from getting in the water on her last trip to the ocean, she just enjoyed watching the waves from shore.

More than anything in this world, Beverly loved God. She attended church faithfully until she was no longer able. Her greatest desire was to see her loved ones living for the Lord. And to that end, she prayed for them daily. Her favorite verse was Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Beverly spent her last days surrounded by family and friends before going Home on August 19, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; grandchild Olivia King; parents Ernie and Winnie Clopton; sister Rachel Lenora Gould (husband Cecil); sister Lillie Mae Glass (husband Harrell); and sister Doris Ann Clopton.

Beverly leaves behind her sister Sharon Mower (husband Jim); daughters Genna and Terran Glass, Lisa Lesser, and Shaunté Glass; sons Trevor and Robert Glass, Matthew Glass and wife Casey; and her grandkids, Wyatt Lesser, Victoria Flores and husband Diego, Levi King, Sara, James and Abby Pierson, Donovan, Chelsea and Bryant Smith, Matthew and Josiah Glass, Xavier Hutchinson and La’niya Williams, and Aliegh Knodle. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and adopted family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Glad Tidings Church, 1006 N. US Hwy 183, Leander, Texas 78641. Beverly will be laid to rest at Sanders Cemetery in Lexington, Texas.
