We are extremely saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father Bhoop Raj Pandey, who left us on January 4, 2025 at the age of 82. Born on March 3, 1942 in Gorkha, Nepal to Krishna Raj Pandey and Yogendra Kumari Pandey, he was an alumnus of Andhra University, India and Imperial College, London. He was General Manager of Nepal Telecommunications Corporation, and the first chairman of Nepal Telecommunications Authority. He is survived by his three children (Sunira Tripathy, Sameer Raj Pandey, Sirish Raj Pande), son-in-law (Ravi Tripathy), daughters-in-law (Banchana Pandey, Sudha Pande), grandchildren (Nirvik Raj Pande, Sayal Raj Pandey, Nirwan Raj Pande, Neilay Raj Pandey), brothers (Bishwa Raj Pandey, Rishi Raj Pandey, Surendra Raj Pandey, Rajendra Raj Pandey), and sisters (Hem Kumari Joshi, Laxmi Kandel, Sarala Mishra).
