

Billie Charles Templeton, 81, of Austin passed away on the 17th of October 2011. He was the youngest of seven children born to Will and Leona Berryman Templeton on the 6th of April 1930 in rural Llano County, Texas.
In 1951, he married Lora Beatrice Lindsey. Billie honorably served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was well respected in the electrical metering industry, working in Texas and South Louisiana. For over 50 years, he was employed by the same company, Austin Meter Services, Austin/Texas Meter and Devise, Waco.
At the age of 75, he was baptized on the 19th of January 2005 at Faith Lutheran Church, the church he had attended for many years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life.
Surviving Billie is his wife of 60 years, “Bea”; daughter, Judy Weedon and husband, Dr. James “Jim Bob” Weedon of San Antonio; son, Glenn Templeton and wife, “Zele” Templeton of Vassar, Kansas; daughter, Gina Ball and husband, Tad Ball of Carrollton; four grandchildren and one-step grandchild; three great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind many friends and was the kindest, most gentle person known by all.
Visitation of the family will be held from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 19th October at Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 20th of October at Faith Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at half-past two o’clock in the afternoon at Board Branch Cemetery, Lone Grove, Llano County, Texas.
He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
