

Bobbie Jean Ayers-Wilkerson born June 27, 1925 in Rule, Texas passed to her heavenly home December 8, 2010. She joins loved ones who preceded her including her mother and father Delia Ann Rose and Luther Rose; brother Billy Rose; daughter Alice Ann Ayers; Sterling T. Wilkerson; and her soul mate and husband Roy Ayers, Jr.
Bobbie passed the way she lived... strong, courageous and feisty. She battled the weaknesses of the physical body while giving gratitude and humor to her loved ones, friends and caregivers. She and her family were very grateful for the many friends who visited and for the exceptional care she received from Park Bend Healthcare Center and Odyssey Healthcare. Throughout the years of battle she also was fortunate to have caring and competent care from excellent physicians especially Dr. David Moreledge and Dr. William Woodward.
Bobbie loved people. She brought fun and laughter in social gatherings and from that had many friends. She brought an uncanny calm in crisis thereby helping many get through difficult times.
Throughout her life she served others and her family through activities such as Cub Scouts Den Mother, hospital auxiliary, civic organizations, church, widow support group to name a few. A woman many have described as "one of a kind", her vivaciousness and impeccable dress will be missed.
Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, Bobbie leaves behind daughter Linda Ayers Adams and son-in-law Don Adams; son Roy Ayers, III; sister Wanda Vosseler and brother-in-law Gene Vosseler; sister Patti North and brother-in-law Otis North; brother Jerry Rose; sister-in-law Eppie Rose; grandsons Mark Adams and wife Audra, Tom Adams and wife Jennifer, Jason Ayers and wife Erin, Stephen Ayers; granddaughter Kayla Ayers; 5 great grandchildren, Aspen, Anniston, Ashley, Amberly, Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews.
