

Brenda Polsky Morgan Childs, also known as "Blondie" to her family, died November 5, 2008, in an automobile accident. She was a renowned artist and found beauty in everything. Brenda and her sketch pad were never far apart, and she gained national recognition with her interpretation of famous athletes and coaches. Her list of clients was a "who's who" that included Richard Nixon, Barry Goldwater, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Bob Hope and John Wayne – just to name a few. Brenda also created the exquisite illustrations for the book Grandma and Me and Her Secret Recipe. Her work is truly a legacy and everlasting tribute to all of her family and many friends. Whether it was clowns, football players or mothers with their children, her canvases will leave an imprint on our hearts forever. Brenda is survived by her husband Allen Childs, M.D., daughter Amy and husband Norman Newton, Jr.; son Greg Morgan and wife Kelly; son Jason Childs and wife Tanya and daughter Eve Childs and her fiancé Ozgur Cakar. Along with her five grandchildren, Brenda is also survived by her brother Fred Polsky and sister Sandra Leitner. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Beth Israel III at Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH 35 in Pflugerville.
