Brenda Randall, 58, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on January 18, 2019 in Austin, TX. Brenda was born in Greencastle, Indiana to Richard and Kay Stewart and is one of two children. Brenda and Don started dating each other at age 16, after meeting through several friends in Boca Raton, FL. After graduating from Boca Raton High School, Brenda went on to attend college with Don at the University of Florida, where they both graduated with computer science degrees. They married on December 26, 1980 in Boca Raton, FL. Don and Brenda moved to Austin in 1984 where she started her career at IBM as a software engineer. In 1987 they started their family and together built a beautiful and loving life.
Brenda cherished life. She loved all animals, traveling, Mahjong, and baton twirling, but most of all, she loved her family and friends. Spending time with her family and friends brought her immense joy. She wouldn’t miss a single soccer game if one of her children were playing. She would go above and beyond for her family. She volunteered her time for numerous school organizations including the PTA, Girl Scouts, Westwood Band, and many others – making life-long friendships along the way. Her kindness and generosity were treasured by all she met.
For those who know her story, she was a fighter, and fought every day until the very end. Her doctors marveled at her strength and unbelievable determination. She was such a kind person, a wonderful mother, a caring daughter, an inspirational sister, a true friend, and a loving wife.
Preceding her in death is her mother Kay Stewart. Left to cherish her memories are her father, Richard Stewart; her brother, Bryan Stewart; her loving husband, Don Randall; and their three children Nicole, Lindsay, and Tyler, along with many extended relatives.
