Bruce was born on December 6, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas to Bruce Sr and Collette Kuemmel. The Kuemmel family were long-time Austin residents and loved everything about the town including Texas Longhorn Football. Bruce loved his friends like they were family and they spent countless days at Lake Travis together enjoying lake life and recounting Bruce's passion for sports. Whether it was season tickets to his beloved Texas Longhorns or watching his son Phillip compete, if a team was playing you could count on Bruce being there. Maybe the only thing he was known for more than his sports passion was his sweet tooth since no brownie, ice cream, or cookie was safe from it! Bonus if it had extra frosting! Bruce’s entrepreneurial spirit drove him to open his own printing business, Austin Printing and Mailing in 1994 which is still in operation today.
Bruce is survived by his three children; Sara Hildebrandt and husband Jake of Leonard, Texas; Robin Kuemmel and partner Daggar Hefter of Austin, Texas; and Phillip Kuemmel III of Austin, Texas. He was blessed with four grandchildren Andrew Gentile, Kinsley Hildebrandt, Brooklyn Hildebrandt, and Lawson Hildebrandt. Bruce leaves behind a massive community of friends who enjoyed his passion for sports, food, spirits, and lake life. He will be greatly missed.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father Bruce Phillip Kuemmel Sr and mother Marion Collette Kuemmel.
