Burl Roberts

We are gathered here today to celebrate the remarkable life of Burl Roberts. Born January 6, 1965, in Austin, Texas Velma and Charles Roberts. He grew up in East Austin, where he attended public schools. Blackshear Elementary, Joslin Middle School, Porter Junior High and Crockett High School.

Burl loved music, spending time with family and friends as well as watching classical movies. His colorful personality would always bring a smile to anyone’s face whenever speaking with him.

He is preceded in death by both parents, Charles Roberts and Velma Robert; two sibling, Dominic Dickson and Charles Bryon Roberts. Burl passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Burl leaves behind three brothers, Courtney Dicken, Trent Roberts and Joe Warren Roberts, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends with memories to cherish.
