

Burta Ann Dahlheim of Austin, Texas passed away on January 17, 2018. She is survived by her children, Robert Forsberg Dahlheim, Bruce Dahlheim and wife, Lee, Patricia Dahlheim Gray and husband, Jim, and John Dahlheim and wife, Robin. She has six beloved grandchildren.
Burta was born to Esther and Burt Fleharty on October 7, 1927 in Beardstown, Illinois. She always believed she had the best childhood in the world – her family, attending school, playing outdoors, and a hometown she loved.
After high school, she attended University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 1949. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
Burta moved to Chicago with a position for Industries Export Corporation in the Merchandise Mart. In 1950, she married Norman Forsberg and they became the proud parents of a son, Robert. After a courageous battle with illness, Norman passed away in 1953
.
In 1955, Burta married Earl Dahlheim and they made their home in Wilmette, Illinois. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Bruce, Patricia, and John. Those were wonderful years. Wilmette was a great place to raise a family.
Upon Earl's retirement from Dresser Industries, they moved to Austin, Texas. In their new life in Texas, they enjoyed many good times with new friends. Earl died peacefully on December 7, 2008.
Above all, Burta was thankful for her family and friends throughout her long life.
