Calvin graduated from Rison High School in Huntsville, AL and he married Margaret L. Benson on March 22, 1947. Calvin worked for the City of Austin Central Stores. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and he had a passion for family, fishing, camping and reading.
He is survived by his sons: Jerry, Guy, and Darrell Benson; his grandchildren: Megan Benson, Melissa Eaton, Robert Benson, Heather Edwards and Travis Benson and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on January 17, 2017 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.
