Carol Mann Keimowitz, 79, of Austin passed away on Easter Day, April 4, 2021. Born on April 17, 1941 to Gene and Christine Finn, she grew up in Cynthiana and Latonia, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Latonia, and earned a graduate degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She earned her doctorate in musicology at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She had a lifelong love of music, performed internationally with the Lexington Singers and was director of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra. She was a master bridge player and enjoyed playing cards with her grandson, siblings, and extended family.
Those left to mourn her loss and preserve her memory are her two daughters, Stephanie Keimowitz of Engleton, Colorado, and Genevieve Keimowitz of York, Maine; and son, Steven Joseph Mann and wife Christine, and grandson, Aidan, of Austin, Texas; and siblings: Michael Finn and wife Cheryl of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Martha Trenkamp and husband John of Champaign, Illinois, Bridget McGee and husband Michael of Lakeside Park, Kentucky, Patty Cobb and husband David of Edgewood, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Rudolph Keimowitz, her parents, and sister, Mary "Cissy" Braun.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 9, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, Texas. Internment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas.
