
Carol Graham Ramsey, born in Houston, Texas on November 15, 1936, deceased in Austin, Texas on September 7, 2007, resided at Lakeway, Texas. Carole Graham Ramsey grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended Lamar High School, and Southern Methodist University. After SMU, she moved to New York City and studied at the Katharine Gibbs School. She worked for several years as the secretary to the president of Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, and later for Mobil Oil. Ms. Ramsey moved back to Houston in 1967. She renewed her interest in dance, and was an avid Flamenco performer. When Carole and her husband Don moved to Conroe she turned her energy to tennis, and enjoyed many ladder matches. Gardening also became a passion, and her yard abounded in blooms. Carole has resided at Lakeway, Texas since 1995. Ms. Ramsey was pre-deceased by her parents, George William Graham and Corinne Spear Graham. She is survived by her brother Gary W. Graham and his wife Sheila Mickey, now of Pennington, NJ; also by nephew Gary Graham and his wife Carole of Henderson, Nevada; nieces Mickey Graham Coakley and her husband Ken of Washington Crossing, PA.; Kelly Graham Rizk and her husband Jim, of Austin, Texas; and Lauren Graham Delehey and her husband Mark, of Washington Crossing, PA. In her struggle against cancer, Carole was grateful for the staunch care and support she received from her friends Sylvia Pace Owens, Leon Upshaw, and Virginia William, and from her cousin Frank Webber and her niece Kelly Rizk. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. September 11 at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar. Services are at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Drive, Austin, 10:30 a.m. September 12. Burial will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston on September 13, with a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.
