We first met Carolyn a number of years ago through her aunt Helen Bashara, who Carolyn called "Pris".  Pris would often say that Carolyn was like a daughter to her.  As Pris grew to need more care, Carolyn began spending more time with her, cooking, quilting, sharing family stories, and watching old westerns together.  She lovingly cared for Pris's needs until she herself became too ill to continue to help.  We will remember her for her kindness to Pris as well as her kindness to animals.  She had a way with animals and probably preferred them to people.  She was an "animal whisperer" long before that term became popular.  She will be greatly missed by those she helped and especially by the animals who were lucky enough to call her a friend.
