Carolyn Sue Reid

Born November 11, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to Floyd and Melinda Hart, Carolyn spent her years in Creedmore and Kyle, Texas. She graduated from Del Valle High School in 1970 and married Gary Lynn Cheney shortly after. Together they raised two children, Gary Wade Cheney and Katherine Marie Alcauter. Later in life, she met and married her true love, Travis Edward Reid, and they spent 33 loving and joyful years together. While she “couldn’t drive a stick to save her life” and failed her driving test three times, Carolyn spent many an hour in the car, family in-tow, exploring garage sales from Austin to Buda. Carolyn loved going to the movies (and sneaking in an extra large dill pickle), reading Harlequin romances, and watching soap operas. Time spent with family and friends was the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers David, Jerry, and Rickie. She is survived by her husband, her brother Steven, her two children, and her five grandchildren Linda, Alenna, Chelsea, Christopher, and Nathan, as well as her calico cat Honey
