Chanh Minh Nguyen

On the Saturday morning of April 11th, 2015 Chanh Minh Nguyen peacefully passed away at his house in Pflugerville Texas. Chanh was 55 years old and his marriage would have been 17 years strong with his lovely wife, Oanh Kim Thi Do.

Born to Vuong Huu Nguyen and Quen Thi Tran on May 10th, 1959 in Bentre South Vietnam, Chanh came over to the United States with his father and brothers seeking a better opportunity for his life. Chanh being the oldest, was a natural leader and a core component to his family. He was married in Saigon, Vietnam on May 1st 1998. Being a buddhist, Chanh frequented temples and actively participated in ceremonies. He eventually settled down with his wife in Pflugerville, along with his family and friends.

Chanh is survived by his wife Oanh Kim Thi Do, daughter Chau Kim Do nguyen, son Quan Minh Do Nguyen, brother Truc Trung Nguyen, brother Trung Kien Nguyen, brother Nghia Trong Nguyen, sister Hanh Tuyet Thi Nguyen, sister Cindy Thi Nguyen, sister Thao Phuong Thi Nguyen . He was preceded in death by his parents Quen Thi Tran and Vuong Huu Nguyen.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. On Saturday, April 18th, a viewing will be held from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and a service will follow from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. All visitations and services will be located at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, located at 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas, 78752.
