He was born on Tuesday, February 15, 1938 to W. F. and Mary Cole in Austin, Texas. He was a retired AISD bus driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances R. Cole; his mother, Louise Cole; father, Frank Cole; brothers, Hardy, Frank, Jimmy; sisters, Ann Wilson, Bobbie O’Conner; step-daughter, Armenthia Winker; sons, Charles Cole Jr. and Jerry Mack.
Charles is survived by his partner, Pat Meredith; sons, Kenneth F. Cole, Troy Jackson, Donald Mack, Harry J. Mack, James Meredith, Charles Meredith Jr.; daughters, Robbie Hollaway, Bobbie Figuroa, Joyce Houseton, Kathy Mack, Jody Davis, Sheila Graham, Vickie Graham, JoAnne Gregory, Tiease Meredith; brothers, Buckie Cole, Joe Cole; sister, Billie Villa; 37 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 1 soon to be great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Hill Cemetery.
