

He is survived by his Son, Stephen Johnson and his wife Melanie and grandchildren Hannah and Major Johnson, and Daughter Debbie Breaux and Grandson Alex Breaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Marge) of 57 years and Son Mark.
Charles was born to Mildred and James Johnson, and had a brother Samuel Johnson (deceased.)
He retired from Southwestern Bell after working 38 years for the telephone company. He was devoted to his wife and family, and enjoyed bowling, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was especially proud of his service in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and would rarely be seen without wearing his Navy Veteran Hat.
A funeral mass for Charles will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd, Austin, TX 78749. Following the funeral mass will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
