

Charles William Rieg, 76 years old, of Kyle, Texas passed away peacefully with family by his side, Thursday, August 5th at 4:03 PM. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ann Rieg, his children Clay and wife Christy Rieg, Angie Sparks, Glen McEarchern and Lisa Rieg-Hartley, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Timothy Rieg, Zeke Hart and wife Julie, his sister Carolyn Hart and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charley, as he liked being called, was proceeded in death by his loving parents Charles Lee and Sophie Rieg, and Thelma Hart.
Charley graduated from Travis High School and served two tours in Vietnam while serving in the U.S Army. He was a very proud patriot and recipient of the Purple Heart, as well as many other awards.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He had so much love to share, and could always bring a smile to your face. Charley will be missed beyond words by so many.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Judy Swarts at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM, with a graveside service to follow.
