Charles Royce Roessing (Charlie) Our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 after a long battle with COPD. He was born on September 18, l946 to Royce and Marie Roessing in Mineral Wells, Texas. He spent most of his life in Austin, Texas and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. He is survived by his mother, Marie Roessing; daughter, Jennifer Neutzler and her husband Brad; granddaughter, Jillian; sisters, Jacque Washburn and Janie Falgout; and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kindness and care provided to Charlie in the last few months of his life by the Stonebridge Health Center staff and the medical team who cared for him, especially Dr. Kenneth Perret. Visitation is Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 25th at St. Ignatius Martyr Church with Reverend Michael Couhig, CSC officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
