He was born on August 21, 1933 in Austin, Texas, son of the late Orin Sanford Cluck, Sr. and Ada Bell Pierce Cluck.
He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Cluck. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Betty; their son Charlie and his wife Susan, their daughter Elizabeth and her husband Cass, and two adoring grandchildren William and Emma Lutes. He treasured his grandchildren, and spent countless moments building life long memories with them.
As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy. When he returned, he started his career in the paint business and was a paint salesman in Texas for most of his career. His work took the family to Corpus Christi for three years (1969-1972).
After moving back to Austin, his love of fishing called him back to the coast often - whether with the entire family, or just in a truck with his son to sleep and fish on the beach. His life was deeply rooted in faith, unwavering integrity and solid principles. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
We are deeply saddened by his passing but we rejoice in the fact that we know he has been called home. He served the Lord, he served his wife and family, and he served his country. He will forever be in our hearts and our memories.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Southwest Church of Christ, 8900 Manchaca Rd. officiated by Cody Westbrook.
