
Rememberances of Charlotte are from our years at Sidney Lanier High School.  Then we met again for one more time at a 10 year high school reunion.  My mother became acquainted with her through the Daughters of the American Revolution.  Hence, I have been made aware of her passing through that connection.  Charlotte seemed to be a very caring, sensitive person who has lived a full life filled with meaningful relationships.  I am sad that she has died but glad for her eternal future with Christ.



I work at the vet clinic Ms. Vance came to. She will be greatly missed by us all at South First Pet Hospital. There was nothing she loved more than her pets Tobey, and Maya. Our thoughts are prayers go out to her family

I'm so sorry about ya'lls lost. I went thru school with Charlotte but did not know her that well,then. As I worked at Rue's I got to know her better and learn alot about life and how to handle things you are delt. I take life in a better way because of her.    rusty



Beginning at Zilker elementary, Charlotte and I were schoolmates. At the time, we knew one another but never struck up a close friendship.  Years later, when my family owned an antique shop on South Lamar, Charlotte came in regularly. It was at that point that I got to know her better and disovered what a fine person she was.  My parents (who also ran the shop) and I enjoyed our relationship with her a great deal. When my father died, Charlotte was at the funeral and I was deeply touch by the kindness of her gesture.  I'm thankful I had a second chance at knowing her and grateful that she gave me the opportunity.  I will miss her being with us.   Mark Montgomery



Dear Johanna and Tony, I was sad to hear of Charlotte. I just remember her when we first moved to the house on Arpdale that she was the"neighborhood's Baby".  My daughter now lives in my mother's house at 2106 Arpdale. I still have the kitchen cabinet that your dad built for us. I cherish the memories of our friendships always. My daughter Wende Young has volunteered to take care of Toby, Charlotte's dog.



I met Charlotte, at Summer School, I believe at Mcallum High School back in late 60's.  Then years later, early 80's I worked at ABC Pest for about 20 years, and remember when her Parents were still alive, then after they past,  I would always talk to Charlotte, and She finally got to where, She would always ask for me when she called, we had a lot of conversations over all those years.  I really did enjoy talking to her.  I also got the chance to run into her at Salvation Army in South Austin, maybe 7 years ago.  After I left ABC a few years ago,  Charlotte was able to get my number at my home and called me, I guess She needed reassuring that I was okay, that was the last time I talked to her.
