

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Steve and Marion Elizabeth Shelton. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Marilyn; sons, Thomas Shelton and wife Katie of Pflugerville and Kevin Shelton and wife Caroline of Lakeway; daughters, Melanie Romer and husband Ted of Cedar Park and Stefanie Shelton and partner Marty Manzer of Georgetown; brothers, Steve Shelton and wife Revrie of Brady, Tracy Shelton of Round Rock, and Johnny Shelton of Round Rock; sister, Christie Shelton of Round Rock; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Tommy loved playing baseball, playing the guitar, and playing golf. He was especially proud that he made a Par 4 hole-in-one at Georgetown Country Club. However, he loved his family most. Being a loving father and grandfather, he especially loved watching all of his children and grandchildren grow up and enjoy the wonder of seeing new things and being active and fun. Tommy loved helping his family and loved fixing "things." He was multi-talented serving as a computer technician, Master Certified automotive mechanic, an electrician for the City of Austin, and several other skills in other occupations.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78752 with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas.
