Christian is survived by his mother; Elvecia Pierre; his wife, Vesta Daniel (née Deneus); his children, Don R Daniel and Christine Daniel; his beloved friends in the Haitian community and his colleagues at Westminster, where he worked for more than 20 years.
Christian was born in Haiti on January 29, 1953. He attended school in Haiti where he learned masonry. In 1994, Christian moved to Austin, Texas and became a U.S. citizen in August 2011. Christian was an excellent family man, loving father and provider. Christian returned to Haiti in February 1997 to marry his long time love, Vesta Daniel. and the couple had two children together, Don and Christine, who were the most important part of his life.
Christian was a devoted father, husband, brother and friend. He enjoyed serving his community and his friends. He was a very active man. Christian was deeply involved in the Haitian community in Austin and various other communities in Austin. Christian held the 1998 American Record Bench Press, squat and deadlift for his weight class for the Natural Athlete Strength Association. Christian was a social man who enjoyed the company of others and entertaining friends and colleagues. He frequently hosted dinners, bbq’s and events at his home. Christian was a hands on person, who loved helping his friends to fix things or work on small projects.
Christian was a spiritual man, he was involved in many church activities and often cited his favorite bible verse, Ecclesiastes chapter 1:2. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, colleagues and all who knew him. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christian's life.
A funeral service is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on September 15 at the Skyview Baptist Church on Koenig Lane. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 211 W. Koenig Lane, Austin, TX 78751.
