Cindy Rhea Johnson

Cynthia Rhea Johnson, age 69, of Granite Shoals passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013. Born January 11, 1944 in New Braunfels, Texas, Cindy entered this world with her triplet brother, Don, and sister, Kay. She left this world peacefully with Don by her side and Kay waiting to receive her on the other side.

Cindy was a loving sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved visiting with her family and bragging about her babies. She was happiest when she was making handmade gifts for the people she loved.

Cindy is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Johnson; her sisters, Nita Hazlett and Linda Kay Briscoe; and great-granddaughter Ella.

Cindy is survived by her sisters, Jeane Price and Myrna Myhre; brothers, Charles Gilbert and Don Gilbert; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Don Miller; grandchildren, Crystal Johnson, Kendra and James Pierce and Cameron Miller; great- grandchildren, James, Cheyanne, Gracie and Emma; and her very dear friend Mary Lusinger. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Baldwin to officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
