

Claire was born on July 5, 1931 to Lue Mae and Braxton Eustace in Sinton, Texas. She spent most of her youth in South Texas and graduated from Alice High School in 1948. She went on to study at Texas A&I University. In 1949, she met Samual Culmo. They wed in 1951, going on to have five children, Rebecca, Lauren, Nancy, Mark and Matthew.
Claire was predeceased by her parents Braxton and Lue Mae Eustace, sister Elaine Eustace Goins and husband of 56 years, Samuel Alfred Culmo.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Culmo Abell of Houston, Texas, Lauren Culmo Henry of Brenham, Texas, Nancy Culmo Barwick & husband Ryan of Bellevue, NE, sons Mark Culmo & wife Cynthia of Fort Worth, Texas, Matthew Culmo & wife Katy of Austin, Texas, grandchildren Blake Henry & wife Lindsay, Preston Henry, Briana Culmo, Amy Abell Boa & husband David, Alec Abell & wife Taylor and four great grandchildren, Madalyn Henry, Vivian Henry, Hudson Henry and Georgia Henry; and her sister Linda Eustace Moore of Houston, Texas.
Claire loved helping others, crocheting baby blankets for Ascension Seton’s NICU and “Bartending” with and for her many friends at Westminster Manor. She loved a winning bingo game, playing cards with her friends, and working her daily crossword puzzles. She adored a quick wit, funny joke and her laugh was infectious. We will miss her greatly.
There will be a Celebration and Remembrance of her Life on Saturday, August 19th, from 1-3pm at Westminster Manor in Austin Texas.
