

Clara Augusta Heine Schulle Clara Augusta Heine Schulle, was called home to be with her family in heaven on 06/18/2007 at the age of 96. She resided at the West Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care center in Austin. She was a lifelong resident of Austin and Travis county, born in Del Valle, TX 1/12/1911 to August and Elizabeth Schneider Heine, the 12th of 12 children born to August Heine, all of whom preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Walter Schulle, and survived by her 2 children, Janice Elkins of Pueblo, CO., and Bert (Patti) Schulle of Loveland, CO, grandchildren Jim Casparis, Jane Van Matre (Bob), Bill Schulle (Mary), Mary Barz (Ken), Paul Schulle, Catherine Beaver, numerous great and great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, including devoted Dorothy Bohn. Clara was one of the first women to become a member of the city of Austin Chamber of Commerce, and was instrumental in bringing flood insurance to Austin. As an active member of St. Martins Lutheran church, she was president of the altar guild. Following her pastor, pastor Schoss, Clara later joined Lord of Life Lutheran church. She was a lifelong member of the Violet Crown Garden Club as flower arranging was her love. Clara met Hugo Walter Schulle in the state of Texas Capital Rotunda and they married on October 21, 1930. Due to the donation of some property by her father to the city, "Clara Street" was named for her many years ago. Clara loved God and her family, and she truly believed in the power of prayer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, Pastor Schoss of Lord of Life Lutheran Church presiding.
