Clara Katherine Patterson Young

Clara Katherine Patterson Young age 80, of Spicewood, Texas, passed away Aug 29, 2014. Clara was the daughter of Reverend Tom and Edna Patterson. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Austin, Texas. Mrs. Young was widow of the late Thomas F. Young, former retired Navy Seal.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and step son Luke Young. She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Dalton & Sissy McCarty of Vicksburg MS, Paula McCarty & Victoria Gomez of Elgin TX, Randall & Angela McCarty of Carlsbad, TX. Clara is also survived by 3 step-children, John Young, Mathew Young and Annie Young.

Clara and Tom spent all of their 17 years of marriage traveling across the US. They had many extended family and friends within the retired Navy. They always mapped their trips with visiting each of their children along the way......

Mother's favorite saying was, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Patterson Family Cemetery.
