Clifford "Pete" Martin

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road. Burial will follow the funeral at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.

Visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road.

Clifford was born in Lytton Springs, Texas on January 5, 1925. He married Geraldine Marie (Woodall) on December 24, 1951; they were married 46 years and raised three children.

Clifford is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine; daughter, Debra Kay Cook; parents, Charlie and Lilly Martin; as well as his siblings, Henry Martin, Alvin Martin, Fay Blanton and Ella Whitehead.

Clifford is survived by his two children, son, Clayton Martin Sr. and wife Lana; daughter, Holly Jarnagin and husband David; his thirteen grandchildren, Scott Martin, Crystal Mattice and husband Chris, Jason Woods and wife Maria, David Jarnagin Jr. and wife Kristen, Susan Kroft and husband James, Clayton Martin Jr., Marcus Sherrod Jr. and wife Ashley, Micah Jarnagin, Stephen Jarnagin, Sarah Martin, Jackie Martin, Tashona Aday and husband Jessie and Alyssa Jarnagin, Seventeen great-grandchildren; Courtney Mattice and fiancé Thomas Yacopino, Wesley Mattice, Jessica Vincent, Wade Woods, Garret Woods and Cooper Mattice, Matthew Jackson, Maddox Jackson, Brayden Bryant, Careylee Kroft, Jay Kroft, Nimalou Kroft, Jakob Aday, Grace Sherrod, Abigale Sherrod, Ethan Jarnagin and Jonah Aday; siblings, LC Martin, Stella Hutchinson and Aline Bell.

During his life, Clifford and his wife were foundering members of Ambassadors of Christ Church and he built many of the roads in and around Austin, TX. He loved to hunt, fish, listen to great music and was always up to any shenanigans his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would take him on. Always on the go and enjoying life, he leaves behind a wealth of great memories.
