Colene Hill Demps

Colene Elizabeth Hill Moore Demps, 83, departed this life on September 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 27, 1937 in St. John Colony, Texas to the late Willie and Narvell Hill. Colene committed her life to Christ at an early age at St. John Regular Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member until she passed. She was also an honorary member of the East Nineteenth Street Missionary Baptist Church. After 31 years of employment, Colene retired from the   Texas School for the Deaf. Colene is preceded in death by her husband: Curtis Lee Demps, Sr., her father: Willie Hill, her mother: Narvell Hemphill, three sisters: Willie Lee Harper, Rosezetta Houston and Lenora Pratt, four brothers: Edmond Hill, Jimmy Lee Hill, Frank James Hill, and Clayton Hemphill. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters Beverly Moore Houston (Clayton) of Manor, Texas, and Janice Demps Scales of Kyle, Texas; her son Danny Moore of Austin, Texas; one brother Andrew Hill Sr. (Mildred) of Luling, Texas; two sisters Lue Rece Tennon of Austin, Texas, and Elnora Albert of Los   Angeles, California; three grandchildren, Sedric Williams, April Scales and Ormand Houston; five great grandchildren, Briana Williams, Joshua Williams, Caleb Williams, Kash Houston and Zylen Brewer and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
