Consuelo G. Villegas of Austin, Texas passed away December 29, 2018. She was born August 7, 1927 in Paige, Texas. Consuelo is preceded in death by her husband Manuel M. Villegas Sr. and her son Jimmy G. Villegas.
Consuelo was a wonderful person who was very loving and caring to everyone she met. Consuelo was an excellent cook in everything she made and she took care of many of her grandchildren when she was younger.
Consuelo is survived by her children, Pauline Starr and husband Ron, Manuel Jr. and wife Nina, Joe and wife Dee, Edward, and Mary Ellen Garza and husband Cecil; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 5909 Reicher Drive in Austin, Texas, with interment to immediately follow at Assumption Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be the grandsons. A celebration of life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church following the interment.
