Coy Leslie Wingwood

Coy Leslie Wingwood was born on October 16, 1960. In Houston, Texas. He was the son of Carl Lester Wingwood (Father) and Son of Mary Louise Williams (Mother) (Wingwood-Booker). He is Preceded in death By both parents and sister Geneva L. Williams.

Coy Leslie Wingwood has been a resident of Austin, Texas at least to my knowledge since the age of 5. (60 years of his life) He had also been a member of St. John and Eastside Church Of Christ all of his life.

Our brother, (uncle and cousin) was a strong survivor. He loved life as every day was his last. He would put a smile on everyone face and love to give and very kindhearted. When he loved he loved hard. Until his health failed and until death. He gave his all and didn't know it would be his last words to his nieces on June 12, 2026, God the Father, knew he needed his rest so on June 13, 2026 he called him home. I know he said to ur brother (Uncle and cousin). Servant well done.

Brother, We all just want to thank you for being that loving brother, uncle, and cousin to all. You were the one that made us laugh, brought joy to our lives and survivor and strong will. THE WORD OF GOD THAT YOU SPOKE to us will always be upon our mind and upon our hearts forever. We couldn't ask for a better sibling than you. May brother, you sleep well and rest in peace.

Coy Leslie Wingwood is survived by his four siblings in Austin, Virginia Brandyburg (sister), Carl E. Wingwood (Brother), Glenda Hawkins (Sister), Carl Luke Wingwood (Brother). Niece Genice Gaves(Garry), Nieve Virgin Pennick (Elliot), Nieve Hazel Wingwood( Angel her son), Niece Tiffany Hawkins, Nephew James Brandyburg and Nephew Justin Wingwood, Niece Shantel Shields. Great Nieces and Nephews Petunia Pennick, Elliot Pennick, Isaiah Pennick, Nitika Pennick, Nathan Graves, Jennifer Graves Elexis, Jeremiah, Deshawn, Glenda and Gabriel, Fantasia and Elijah Hawkins. Host of cousins and great cousins.

Our Brother (uncle and cousin) had friends beyond friends and relatives who loved him dearly. May God Bless you Brother. You are in Heaven you will no longer suffer. All your pain is gone.

A private family gathering will be taking place on August 26, 2026 at the burial site.
