Curtis Eugene Griffin

Curtis Eugene Griffin, 69, of Austin, Texas, was born May 28, 1957, and passed away on July 30, 2026. Curtis will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude for a life marked by devotion, steady faith, and a kind-hearted spirit that touched those who knew him.

Curtis was preceded in death by Vernon C. Griffin, Chula Mae Griffin, Sister Allie Griffin, Vernon Griffin Jr., Herbert L. Griffin Sr., and James Edward Griffin.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wanda Scott (Griffin); Jarrod Holmes; Rayln Roberts; daughter, Niesha Griffin; and siblings Joyce James, Donald R. Griffin, Vernon Carol Ray, Debra Griffin (Ochiltree)(Jesse), Clara Fay Boxton (James), Reather Griffin Floyd, Loretta Griffin, Robert Griffin, Florence (Griffin) Jarmon, Nathaniel Griffin Sr.; along with a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins (The Glasco Family).

A Memorial Service will be held at Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church, 1725 W 11th St, Austin, TX 78703, on August 15, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 3300 E 12th St, Austin, TX 78721, on August 17, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

The family extends special thanks to Texas Oncologist Dr. Srivari Thaiko Nda, Dr. Atha Unnikrisnaa, and staff for their care and support. The family of Curtis E.
