Daniel Paul Weaver Sr.

Daniel Paul Weaver, the youngest child of the late Archie Weaver and Mary Lyde Weaver, was born December 03, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed life June 7, 2012 after a long struggle with kidney disease and lung cancer.

He attended high school and college in Baltimore, Maryland. He was employed at IBM for 28 years. Daniel was an avid reader. His passions were his yard work, and his garden. He loved his dogs, ten of them mostly strays. He enjoyed talking about his family in Baltimore.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Wilbert Henson, John Weaver; his sisters Lavaria Hadden and Nancy Janey.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Anne Weaver; His sons Daniel Weaver JR, Thaddeus Kelsey, Annette; His sister, Dorothy Weaver Patterson; Grandchildren Keina Weaver, Ashley Kelsey, Zachary Kelsey, Great Grand Children – Jordyn Weaver and Justyn Weaver. His Nieces all special Martha Bailey(Gregory), Mary Blumenthal, Gloria Janey, Nina Henson, Christine Janey, , Helen Henson, Barbara Ann Carrington, Shelia Janey Dixon(Marc), Felice Hadden Sanders, Jackie Patterson, Rev. Romaine Williams, Esq(Anthony),; All of his favorite nephews Ret Col. Kenneth Maddox, Gregory Henson(Martini), Donald Henson, Elyes Patterson, Alexander Waddy, Curt Patterson. Brother in-laws Leroy Sumter, Nathan Shepperd Calvin Sinclair, Charles Sinclair; Sister in-laws Vera Henson, Loretha Riles, Mattie Neal, Irene Sumter, Gertrude Shepperd, Elizabeth Sinclair, Mary Sinclair and a host of cousins and great nieces and nephews.

He formed a long lasting friendship with Herb and Shirley Shannon, Richard and Coral Fletcher and Cherrie Morton from His earliest IBM days.

Our special gratitude goes to The Need a Ride Ministry at Westside Church of Christ…Ginger Pennington, Patsy Chandler and Denise Jenkins. We will never forget the Doctors, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists and Med Techs on 4 North at North Austin Medical Center.
