Ms. Quach was widowed at the young age of 32 and was left to raise her two children alone. She had to be independent and made a modest living by being a seamstress. Ms. Quach’s perseverance and strength early in life continued on to her last days.
Ms. Quach enjoyed travels to China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Canada, and New York but her greatest joy was time spent with her five great-grandchildren and extended family.
In search of a better life for her family in the late 70’s, Ms. Quach escaped communist Vietnam, bringing two of her eldest grandchildren. She went on to raise them with the help of her son and his family in Austin. Although there is no sufficient amount of gratitude, her grandchildren had the honor of showing their ultimate appreciation and love in caring for her in her last weeks of life.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diep Tran; her husband, Hai Luong and her granddaughter My Phung Luong.
Ms. Quach is survived by her son, Hong Tran and (his wife) Hui Tran; her grandson, Quang Luong; her granddaughter, Stefanie Ho and (her husband) Kevin Ho; her granddaughter, Jennifer Nakamura and (her husband) Wesley Nakamura; her grandson Jeffrey Tran and (his wife) Cuc Tran; and her five great-grandchildren, Megan Ho, Emilie Ho, Ryan Ho, Aria Tran, and Hudson Tran.
