

She was born in Baytown, TX in 1D928 to Jimmy and Leora Creel.
Daris attended Cedar Bayou High School before attending University of Houston, University of North Texas, and the University of Wyoming. She completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees in education while raising twin daughters and helping her husband start churches across 5 different states. Many of these churches still stand and have grown considerably, which she considered her second greatest achievement.
Daris was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Steve Galloway; brothers, Lemuel Creel, RL Creel, CB Creel, George Creel; sisters, Myrt Rogers, and Karen White. She is survived by sisters Jeanette Haddox, Coya Eddleton and Loretta Moreau, daughters Cheryl Branham and Carol Galloway and her 3 children Gary Eison, Stephen Paul and Darissa Nordmeyer, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was Nana to anyone that needed love, prayer or encouragement, and she is past surrounded by the generations of family that loved her.
Funeral services will be held November 15th at Cook Walden Oak Hill at 11:00am, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM.
