Darlyne M. Pierce, 86, of Austin passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010. She was born August 31, 1923 in Pierce, Nebraska to Gus and Anna Manske. Darylne lived in League City, Texas and Bayou Vista, Texas before recently moving to Austin. She was a longtime manager of B.J.'s Rock Shop in League City. Darylne enjoyed travelling with her husband in their motor home and camping in the great outdoors. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward Mitros. Darlyne is survived by her husband, Phillip Pierce and her children, Christopher Mitros, Debbie Vanderlip, and Gary Mitros. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
