David Brack of Austin, passed away on September 3, 2006 at the age of 88. David was one of six children born to David and Caldonia Brack. He was born on October 17, 1917 in Dripping Springs, Texas. David served in the US Navy as a medic from 1940 through 1945 and served in the South Pacific during World War II. After he returned, he worked for the State of Texas until his retirement in the late 1980s. He is survived by his sister Vernice Claypool of Kentucky; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise; and his parents. David will be sorely missed for his wit and positive outlook on life. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Wallace Mountain Cemetery in Dripping Springs.
