David W Dawson

Born in Houston to Sam Dawson (preceded in death) and Carol Hall (Wayne Hall), David graduated from North Shore High School and went on to earn both a BBA in Management Information Systems and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Houston.

David built a successful career in enterprise software sales, holding leadership roles at BlueCat, Cyolo, Verint, Infor, and ResortSuite.

He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his kind heart, sharp wit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. David had a passion for music, storytelling, and good food—and could always be counted on for thoughtful advice or a well-timed joke.

Of all his achievements, David was most proud of being a father. His children, Faith and Sam, were his greatest joy and the true center of his life. Nothing made him happier than their laughter, their milestones, and their time together.

He is survived by his children, Faith Anne Dawson and Samuel Wayne Dawson; sisters, Sandy Dawson (Ron Long) and Stacy Dawson; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephew.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 3:00 PM at China Gardens, 1602 Leeland St., Houston, TX.

David’s life was filled with purpose, connection, and compassion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
