David Bruce Hanesworth

David was born on November 10, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas.

David liked his music, his beer, socializing with friends and shooting guns. His hobbies were playing guitar and he was an avid coin collector. He was known by many people from Austin to the Hill Country and will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Hanesworth and wife Mary Elizabeth Coffeey; his parents Stanley Hanesworth, Dorothy Traweek Hanesworth.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Penny Triplett of Austin, Texas; Uncle Frank Traweek of Georgetown, Texas and his brother Jon Hanesworth of San Antonio, Texas.

He is also survived by his Goddaughter, Sara Lynn Ellis, and her mother Alta Herrera.

A true friend is never truly gone. Their spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved him.

A visitation for David will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78752, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
