Deborah Ayala Copeland, age 64, moved to Heaven while in her sleep on April 30, 2020 with her husband Dathan at her side. She was born on June 08, 1955 and was the eighth and youngest child of Tomas and Martha Arredondo of Kerrville, Texas. From an early age Deborah knew the joy of surrounding oneself with those you love and was always planning the next opportunity to get her friends and family together to celebrate their love for each other. Deborah's support of her family was always at the forefront, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that in 1997 she and Dathan first met on the sidelines as they supported their daughters as they played soccer. It was there they fell in love, and after a seven year courtship they married on July 30, 2005.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, sister Sylvia, husband Ray and Dathan's wife Lisa. She is survived by sisters Mary, Nancy and Dolores, brothers Ralph, Tommy and Joe, husband Dathan, son Michael Ayala and wife Kandace, daughter Genevieve and husband Phillip Moreno, daughter Amber and husband Brett Cooper, daughter April and husband Felipe Martinez, daughter Ashley and husband Colt Damuth, grandsons Cameron, Alexander and Nicholas and granddaughters Vivienne, Lily, Emmalisa and Savannah.

Visitation services will be held at the Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6th from 6-8 pm. Gravesite funeral services will be held at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas at a later date.

Debbie and I meet when our daughters played soccer for Town & Country Soccer. There were times I would pick up Genevieve for practice while she was working. She was a very kind friendly person. We would all sit together for soccer games and I remember when Dathan and Debbie meet. I saw the sparkle in their eyes. Well as the time went on they were private about their relationship, which I saw because of their children. After many years they did get married to become one big family. It saddens me to see god took her at such a young age because of her illness. I know Dathan cherished his wife as so did her children. Debbie loved being a mother and a grandmother just like myself. We would see each other at the play gym with our grandkids having fun. Times is priceless with your families so please cherish your times together. You will be missed Debbie by your husband, your kids and grandkids.RIP ❤️😘🌹

Debbie was a close friend of mine from IBM. I am going to miss her terribly, but will cherish the memories of the friendship we built together. She was work confidante, Safari buddy, Meals on Wheels partner. She shone brightly and was kind and thoughtful. I really loved her, and know how much she cherished her beautiful family.

Deepest condolences on Deb's passing. As a co-worker of Deb's in IBM I was deeply saddened by news of her death. Deb was a lovely person, so kind and filled with lovely stories of looking after her mother at home while balancing work commitments. Thinking of you at this tough time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam. May she rest in peace. - Love from Dublin, Ireland.

Debbie was always smiling at the family reunion. Kim and I remember discussing how positive she was about her battle with her illness. I am so glad you had some great years together, but am so sorry your time together was cut short. Dathan, you and the family have been and will continue to be in our prayers.

Dathan & Family, It was heartbreaking news to hear of Deb's passing. As one of her IBM Co-Workers, we are left stunned and in sadness. Deb was such a positive light during her tenure with IBM. Always quick with a smile and a happy disposition made working with her a joy. Deb demonstrated the Fruit of the Spirit ! Please know that we are grieving with with you. I wish there were some words that could ease your days ahead, but please know that my family and I will be praying for peace for you. I was comforted by knowing that even Jesus wept and I pray that his peace be with you.
