

Deborah “Debbie” Kay Pawlik (Remmler) of Austin, TX passed away on April 26th, 2022 after 71 amazing years. She was born on January 23rd, 1951 in San Antonio, TX. She grew up in New Braunfels TX and graduated from New Braunfels High as the Salutatorian of her class. In addition to excellent grades, she was very involved with the band, played the French Horn and was a Majorette. Debbie then went on to college where she graduated from the University of Texas Austin with a degree in Accounting. She accepted a position as an accountant at the LCRA where she would eventually retire after more than 30 years.
Debbie was a very kind and generous person. She enjoyed volunteering to different organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, and even participated in the foreign exchange student program. She was very hard working and also had a great sense of humor. Debbie had an infectious laugh and smile that was adored by everyone around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Velma Remmler of New Braunfels. Debbie is survived by her three children Michael Micheletti of San Antonio, Aaron Pawlik and his wife Rachelle of San Antonio, and Andrea Pawlik of Austin; six grandchildren: Trevor, Austin, Alyssa, Annika, Addisyn, and Ethan.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday May 4th 5:00-8:00PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin, TX. A service will be held Thursday May 5th 10:30AM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin, TX followed by a celebration of life at the gravesite in New Braunfels, TX at the Guadalupe Valley Cemetery.
