Dee West

Doneta (Dee) West, age 70, passed away on July 11, 2008. She was born October, 19th, 1937 in Maquoketa, Iowa Dee grew up on a farm in Springbrook, Iowa. She was blessed with loving parents, and 16 brothers and sisters. She met and married Jack West in 1959. They have 2 wonderful sons. She moved from Illinois in 1972 to Brownsville, Texas. In 1992 she, along with her family, moved to Lakeway, Texas. In 1996 she had a debilitating stroke. She was very brave and stoic in bearing the pain that she suffered. Her joy was her husband, her sons and being a hairdresser. She enjoyed them all passionately. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Reinold Steines, Sr., her mother, Audrey Steines, and brothers, Cletus, Larry, John and Michael. She is survived by her husband, Jack; children John and his wife Jennifer, Chuck and his wife Nadia; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her surviving siblings and their spouses are Verlyn and Carol Steines, Reinold Jr. and Laura Steines, Charlene and Clyde Michel, Mardel and Janet Steines, Bob and Ruthie Steines, Loras Steines, Lorin and Jane Steines, Dwain and Jan Steines, Mary Ann Michel, Manette and Don Storlie, Clayton and Chris Steines, Jeanne and Mike Bellindier and Fred and Deb Steines. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway.
