Delores Marie (Noack) Kurio was born September 29, 1936 in Winchester, Texas to Carl August and Alwine (Pietsch) Noack. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Saint Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winchester, Texas. Her confirmation verse, 2 Timothy 3:14, reads “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them."
Delores was united in marriage to Albert Kurio on October 24, 1959. Their marriage was blessed with three children.
Delores had a respectable career at Motorola, receiving recognition for her contributions to the company before retiring to have more time with Albert and her grandchildren at their ranch in Giddings. She was happiest spending time with her family as they were everything to Delores. Growing up with three sisters and a brother meant she was surrounded with support, love and friendship early in her life. These close friendships extended throughout life as they faithfully met for holidays, birthday parties and fishing trips to the gulf coast. While Delores' homemade dill pickles, fried fish and noodles will remind all of her generosity in preparing her family's favorite dishes, Delores will be best remembered for her warm heart and steadfast love of her family.
Delores joined her Heavenly Father on November 6th in Austin at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents; brother, Elton Noack; sister, Gladys Pampell; and her in-laws.
She is survived by her three children, Kenneth Kurio of Austin, Floyd and Linda Kurio of Round Rock, and Karen and Daryl Noack of Giddings; five grandchildren, Matthew and Renee Noack, Sarah and Mark Ceraldi, Alisha and Bobby Witt, Wade and Faith Kurio, and Katelyn Kurio; a great-grandson, Aysen Noack; a great-granddaughter Raegan Witt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Noack, Wade Kurio. Dennis Kurio, Russell Pampell. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Kurio, Jerry Hoskins, Perry Hale and John Phillips.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
