

Delores Diane Pierson died August 25, 2006 and is now face to face with our Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, Horace Younger of Beaumont. She is survived by husband, Patrick M. Pierson, daughter Pam Pickett and husband David, son Patrick Pierson Jr. and wife Suzanne of Austin. Grandchildren Mary, Maggie, and Hannah Pickett, Will and Mac Pierson will miss Lollys sweet soul and loving presence in their lives and will remember her always. Her mother Mildred Younger, also of Austin, has for many years enjoyed the love, care, and constant attention given by Diane. Diane was born in Beaumont, Texas. She attended schools in Beaumont and graduated from Lamar University. After marriage to Pat in 1960 and the births of her children, she lived in Houston, later moving to Austin and Horseshoe Bay. Dianes life was a blessing to all who knew her friends from Bible Study and the Hill Country Bible Church of LBJ she helped found, the needlepoint group, the card and game players, the Birding Ladies, the close personal friends and all those whose lives were fortunate enough to be touched by her. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park. Please come and celebrate her life and new eternal life provided by His unyielding grace and love. Pall bearers are Bill Barker, Bob Davis, Jerry Evans, Paul Prince, David Pickett, Conlan Pierson Sr., Conlan Pierson, Jr. and Keith Wilcox. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas, 75265-0309, the Seton Foundation, or the charity of their choice. Family and friends also wish to extend their grateful appreciation to the seventh floor staff of Seton Hospital, who were unfailingly kind, dedicated, and comforting in Dianes last days.
