Dempsey Eugene Rigby Jr.

Dempsey Eugene Rigby,Jr. of Cedar Park, Texas passed away on September 23, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born on October 6, 1955 in Beaumont, Texas, he grew up in Vidor, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dempsey Eugene Rigby, Sr. and mother Mary Margaret Rigby, both of Vidor, Texas. Sister, Anne Copeland of Vidor, Texas and Sister, Susan Wingerson of Tomball, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Renee' Rigby of Cedar Park, Texas, sister Tula Wingerson and husband Tommy Wingerson of Highland Village, Texas. Son Corey Rigby and wife Michelle Rigby of Lumberton, Texas. Granddaughters Grace Anne Rigby, Reagan Margaret Rigby, Kendall Quinn Rigby, and Grandson Jacob Eugene Rigby, all of Lumberton, Texas. Stepdaughter, Jennifer Thompson of Dover, New Hampshire, and stepsons Brandon and Scott Hamilton of Clarksville, Arkansas.

Gene was a talented musician throughout life. Sang in and directed multiple church choirs. He was an accomplished Tuba and guitar player. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, wife and Dog (Buster). Early in his career, he worked as a talented carpenter and specialized, mainly, in custom cabinet building and home remodeling. Later in life, he became a successful commercial construction project manager and settled in Cedar Park, Texas with his wife Lisa.
