Dennie attended school in Brady, Texas where he met the love of his life. He developed a passion for the great outdoors that he passed on to many of his family members and others that he came in contact with. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, firearms and playing 42 dominos. He loved western movies and TV shows along with country music. He always had butterscotch candies and sweets handy for snacking. He enjoyed making dutch oven peach cobblers. And he worked as a Carpenter all his life and could build just about anything.

The Assistance Fund is an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and other health-related expenses. I remember Dennie’s laugh. He loved laughing and hunting. We spent many memorable times with Dennie and Linda when they lived in Mart. He had a strong testimony and he was a great friend.

I remember when I bought my first house and Dennie came and helped build a half wall and a breakfast bar as well as built and hung a hanging bed for his grandson Sean. He worked with all three of the boys all over that house.
